8. From a young age, you’ve been drawn to the unexplained and paranormal.

9. When you’re lost, you’re good at finding where you’re going with just using your intuition.

10. Are you able to predict what people will say next?

11. Have you sometimes been angry with people and notice they’re criticised or something IMPOSSIBLE happens to them..as if your anger made you do it?

12. Do you often remember your dreams on getting up?

18. Have you ever sensed someone or something around you when you were physically alone?

20. Are your dreams sometimes prophetic, or a help with problem solving?

22. have you ever “travelled” in your dream? Like you’re in college and then on your dad’s birthday (lets say you even forgot it’s your dad’s birthday)..but have you been home at such times in party like atmosphere and stayed around dad all time? Or, have you had a strong feeling upon waking up from a dream and said no it can’t be a dream..”i was there! I touched Dad! I watched ______ with mum and yes, it is always aired at that time”

23. Have you ever seen a promo to an upcoming music video that isn’t yet aired and you saw it in your dream..when its realeased you realise you actually saw it!! (partly or fully similar!)

Ayurveda: Cleansing Mask for Dry Skins

(reference : essential ayurveda, Shubhra Krishan)

2 teaspoon quick cooking oats

1/4 teaspoon almond powder

1/4 teaspoon gated orange peel

1/4 teaspoon lavender-flower powder

2 tablespoon yogurt

Mix all the ingredients together and apply the mixture to your face. Let the mask set on your skin and then using very light pressure flake the mask off. If your skin feels too sticky use warm water to rinse. Dab your face with a soft towel and apply a good moisturizer.

Instant oatmeal is an excellent skin exfoliant. Oats replenish the skin with Vitamin A and E and counteract the daily sun damage. The orange peels help to balance the pH level of your skin too, it makes the skin soft and helps you look younger. Almond powder is rich in protein. Similarly, yogurt pacifies the aggravated pitta in turn making your skin look healthier, livelier and younger. Lavender is used for its healing aroma! It has a great effect on your skin.

Hope you found this tip useful!

If you did, please do check out the book. It is called Essential Ayurveda, written by Shubhra Krishan. It is a great resource for Ayurveda

Vastu And your Kitchen

The Kitchen holds an important place in vastu and the Indian household. It is the place where people, especially women spend most of their time in. Here are a couple tips to ensure that your kitchen follows Vastu guidelines for happiness, health and prosperity

The ideal place for your kitchen, according to Vastu is the South East corner of your house. If you can’t manage the South East, even the East or Northwest is considered favorable in Vastu . Try your best to avoid the North and South West as far as the Kitchen is concerned.

Now, if you have read my previous articles on Vastu, you will recall that the Kitchen should never be across from the bathroom or right in front of the main door. Kitchen is an important place!

It is best to have the oven or whatver on the south east or the east of the kitchen. Avoid the North again!

Don’t cook right infront of the Kitchen door.

Generally good idea to keep your appliances like microwaves in the southeast.

The Southwest is another special place in the kitchen. It should be used for storage to maintain and bring happiness and prosperity. Other ideal places for the refrigerator are south east or the west.

Kitchens should have lively yellow, brownish, orange or warm red! It represents vitality in your life. Of course! Its where the food is cooked! Don’t paint your kitchen Black for any reason. The Kitchen is a great place! It is important because you cook there! And, we don’t need to talk about the importance of paying attention to cooking. We all know the importance placed upon Ayurvedic cooking (healthy cooking) in the Indian households!

Goodluck!
