Relax a Little, You’ll feel better and smarter
Have you ever noticed how most of the brightest ideas hit you when you are just doing nothing? Most of my ideas come to me when I am relaxing in shower, playing with my dog (Miss Amber) or enjoying the beautiful day outside.
It’s amazing when I count the number of ideas I have got while doing stuff totally unrelated to work or whatever is it that I am trying to get done.
Here’s why it works: We all have cognitive limits. Even the smartest ones are subject to these limits. Basically what happens is if you overwork yourself, you hit this limit and become hurried, unfocused and counterproductive.
It happens to the best of us and happens quite often if you overwork yourself. So, if you feel like you’ve overworked yourself, just take time to cool off.
Take a vacation to some beautiful place, take a couple days off.
Your brain will thank you with great new ideas and your body will start performing at it’s best reducing the level of stress in your life.
